Nika Schmitt - Klanginstallation
Nika Schmitt: Echotrope. Installation sonore (création, commande Philharmonie)
Architecture mirrored in sound: in her sound installation Echotrope, the Luxembourgish artist Nika Schmitt reconstructs the 823 iconic columns of the Philharmonie in miniature in the neighbouring pavillon of Bert Theis and transforms them into audio sources. The sounds of this «mini»-Philharmonie are transmitted to the building itself so that its architecture can be experienced and heard in a new way.
